On the 5th December, the Rushey Mead Music Department hosted it's second evening Christmas recital.
Containing performers from across all year groups, the evening saw the audience treated to Solo pieces, duets, a BTEC Band, the Rushey Mead Choir, the Rushey Mead Brass Band, both the Junior and Senior Orchestras, as well as a combined mass orchestra that opened the show.

The evening showed just how hard Rushey Mead students work, performing to very high standard, through pieces that offered both challenge to the musicians and musical interest for the audience.
We are incredibly proud of all the students involved, we look forward to hearing your next performances.
We would also like to take the opportunity to thank all of our visiting music staff, who deliver our 1 to 1 lessons at Rushey Mead Academy. Without them, none of this would be possible as their expertise and guidance gives our young musicians the best possible start to their musical experience.
